In 1865 William and Catherine Booth devoted their time to a mission to perform evangelical, social and charitable work by promoting Christian message to the poor. The organization extends its services to helping those in need. Introducing the word of God to those in need of salvation the Salvation Army is still working the fields in present time. Founded in the United Kingdom the organizations methods span the globe in 121 countries. The organization’s methods are characterized in various forms of cultures and symbols to respond to those in need and to show the power of Christ. The Salvation Army is not just a symbol of the Christian faith it is the pride of scripture and extends its methods to all. In days where evil is evident it is the methods of Christian organizations like this that must remain strong to exemplify the body of Christ.
